CAPITALISM v. Socialism

And now the socialists in our congress want more money for bailing out the American automakers because they've done such a lousy job competing with the other automakers.  Isn't that just delaying the inevitable?    The only glimmer of a silver lining might be sticking it to the UAW now that they've help bleed the golden goose dry.

Time to get down to work

As I commiserate with other like-minded conservatives on this post-election day, I have to remind myself that America truly is the last best hope of Earth as Lincoln said back in 1862.  And like any good conservative, I too want government to get out of my way and let me get on with my job and my life.  As a parent and grandparent, I cannot throw in the towel or take my marbles and go home.  It is more important than ever to stay in the game and work for change.  Change that you can not only believe in but also change that means returning the Republican party back to its core conservative values; change that means actually helping people and not just throwing money at it so we can all feel better because at least we 'did something'. Our descendants need us to do the hard work now rather than leaving it for them. 
 
It is time to get back to work, save some money, budget for those coming taxes, and working to build a new Republican party.  No more Democrat-Lite.  No more 're-branding'.  Forget trying to appeal to the so-called center.  It's time to stand for fiscal conservatism and less government.  It's time to fight for transparency in government and to quit backing down for fear of being labelled a 'hater' or a 'racist'.
 
So please don't give up on America.  It is the last best hope.
